George Jeremiah Erskine Dies at 66

George Jeremiah Erskine died on April 30 on St. Thomas. He was 66 years old.

He is survived by his children: Norma Erskine-Simon, Craig Delmore Erskine and Jamila Erskine-Callwood; sons-in-law:Presley A Simon and Shorn Callwood; daughter-in-law, Samantha Erskine; grandchildren: Shivon and Shaina Simon, Jamal, Jahmilah, Jeremiah, Tatyana and Sasha Erskine, J’Nequa Georges and Jahrion Callwood; great-grandchild, Kel Riley Simon; brothers and sisters: Nelrose Anthony, Herbert Erskine, Millicent Gomes, Archie Erskine, Zephaniah Erskine, Janet Erskine-Brown, Lillian Erskine, Kenroy Erskine and Alvin Erskine; close nieces and nephews: Sherilyn Tonge, And Cassroy and Curt Anthony; and other loving nieces and nephews too numerous to mention.
He is also survived by close cousins: Milantine Gomes, Albertine Joseph, ClaudineJoseph, Carolyn Southwell, Babes and Dalma Tonge and Joey Francis; and good friend, Mary-Ann Francis. He is also mourned by the VI Taxi Association family.
There will be a first viewing held from 3-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 10, at Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will take place at 8 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 9 a.m. on Friday, May 11, at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church. Interment will be at Lady of the Valley Cemetery in Antiqua.
