Elliott Alejandro Nico Dead at 69

The family of Elliott Alejandro Nico of Recovery Welcome, Christiansted, V.I. and Mon Bijou is saddened to announce his passing on April 20. He was 69 years old.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Era Thomas Nico; father, Nicasio Nico Sr.; and sister, Armancia Nico De’ Cambra.
He is survived by his sister, Lydia Nico Thomas; brothers: Nicasio (Sonny) Jr., Adelbert Sr. and Miguel Nico Sr.; sisters-in-law: Alejandra (Lydia), Anneliese (Liz) and Carmen Gloria Nico; nieces: Armancia Nico Watts, Patricia and Judy De’ Cambra, Lisa Thomas and Michele Nico; nephews: Adelbert Jr., Anthony, Miguel Nico Jr. and Valmy Thomas Jr.; great nieces: Nickisha, Marisa and Naisha Nico; great nephews: Valmy Thomas III and Blake Nico; cousins and other relatives and friends: Ken, Will Bill, Arosa Colon and family, Dr. Sylvia Fuertes and family, Edith Gereau Bond and family, the Penns, O’Neals, Sibillys, Frorups, Evanses, Llanoses, Navarros, Wattses, Hendersons, Hendrickses, Fabios, Canegatas, De’Chaberts, Schusters and many others too numerous to mention.
He is also survived by special friends: Robert, Beryl, Charles and Donnel Samuel, Louise O’Reilly, Ray Pemberton, Elvira Flores, Joy Usich, the Carlos Sterling family, the Friday family, Gleston Sergent and other friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 2, at the Friedensthal Moravian Church, Christiansted, St. Croix. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
The family requests that those in attendance wear festive colors, and, in lieu of flowers, we appreciate donations to:
