Carl Cecil Francis Dies

Carl Cecil Francis, better known as "Daddy O," died on April 3.

He is survived by his wife, Joan George-Francis; sons: Tony, Everton, Dion, Darin, Darryl, Malik and Malachi Francis; stepsons: Craig Liverpool and Akim George; daughters: Alison and Cheryl Francis; stepdaughters: Vanica Pharoah, Grethlyn Sprauve, Rhonda, Marcia and Sheereen Richardson; 27 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brothers: Vincent Carty, William Francis and Rudolph Thomas; sisters: Majorie Thomas, Yvette Thomas and Vangie Thomas; aunt, Sarah Joseph; cousins: Terry Francis, Stanley King , Carol Thomas, Utha Thomas, Leroy Baily, and Thomas and Lynette Boddy; sisters- in-law: Isidora Pharoah, Florestine Massicott, Catherine St Luce and Hyacinth George; and brothers-in-law: Placid Pharoah, Petersen Massicott and Vincent St. Luce.
He is also survived by goddaughter, Jacinth Proctor; extended family: patients and staff of the Hemodialysis Unit at the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital; close friends: Oneal Mulley and family, Lester Mulley and family, Cedric Gumbs, Glenroy and Eda Stevens, St Clair St. Luce, Elroy Flaharty, Jay Diggs, Calvert Fahie, Ira and Noel Mills, Henry Thomas, Curtright (Chucky) Joseph , Joseph Gumbs, Calvin Harris, Albert Miller, RoseMarie Paul, Livingston Hart, Vincent Maynard, Melinda Audain, Edna Gumbs, Grethel Cater, Yvonne Woods and Teresa Richardson; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a first viewing held from 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. There will be a second viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Thursday, April 19, at the Church of God of Prophecy in Estate Hoffman. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.
