Ronald Sheppard, also known as “Sheppi” or “Sheppo,” died on Oct. 27, at his residence. He was 73 years old.
He is survived by his son, Dale “Ras the Baker” Sheppard; daughters: Janelle Sheppard Thomas and Julie Sheppard Carr; son-in-law: Vernon Daniel Carr and Randolph Thomas; daughter-in-law, Lydia Sheppard; brother, Pastor Rupert U. Sheppard; sister, Evelyn Sheppard; grandchildren: Sadio, Nkosi, Micah and Malachi Thomas, Kishawn, Kadish and Wanda Sheppard; great granddaughters: Ayana and Aisha Sheppard; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The first viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel. A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 11, followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. at the Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
