Rose Marie Boirard, also known as "Rose" or "Tanty Melita," age 82 of Whim Gardens died on Oct. 24. She is 82 years old.
She is survived by her daughter, Marie-Pierre Mouteyen; sons: Jean-Phillipe Mouteyen and Louis-Charles Mouteyn; sister, Dorothe Boirard; brothers: Aurelien Boirard and Felix Boirard; nieces: Jeanine Boirard(St. Croix) and many nieces in St. Martin, Guadeloupe, France and the U.S. Mainland; nephews: Jean Boirard (St. Martin) and many nephews in St. Martin, Guadeloupe, France and the U.S. Mainland; great nephews: Aderemi, Amani and Obasi Flores (St. Croix); special friends: the Whim Gardens faculty and staff and residents; cousins and other relatives: the Boirard, Richardson, Flores Questel, Joe Lakes, Halman and Mouteyen families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 7, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
