St. Croix police detectives are investigating a first-degree robbery that occurred at an Estate Whim residence Wednesday morning involving four men wearing Halloween masks.
According to police, four armed men stole items from the home and from the occupants, and then fled the house in a vehicle. No one was injured and police are still searching for the suspects.
The victims told police three persons were in the house when four armed men wearing Halloween masks forced themselves into the home and robbed the occupants at gunpoint, taking personal identification items, jewelry, cash, bank cards, cell phones, and a laptop computer. The suspects fled the scene in a white Jeep Cherokee, according to the victims.

This appears to be the second crime in a week in a which a suspects donned Halloween masks to commit a crime. On Tuesday night, a robbery occurred at an Estate Carlton service station in which the suspect also wore a Halloween mask (see link below).
VIPD officials have been unable to confirm yet whether the crimes are related.
