Roslyn A. Hill Dies in Puerto Rico

Roslyn A. Hill of Estate Hannah’s Rest died on July 29 at the Centro Medico University Hospital in Puerto Rico. She was 73 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Hildred "Girlie" Stevens and Jacqueline "Babydoll" Hill; granddaughters: Xiamara "Xiro" Gomez and Evelise "Ebbie" Gomez; grandsons: Rueben "J-J" Gomez Jr. and Rashad Gomez; great-grandson, Dimir "The lil boy" Garrett; sisters: Pearlita Phipps-Samuel, Adina Phipps-Nesbitt, Lorna Phipps, Louisa Phipps and Violet Woods; brothers: Ivan Ceasar, Benson Jeffers and Anthony Woods; and cousins: Madeline Roberts, Merytle Farrelly, Denise Farrelly, Moses Phipps, Wendell Thomas, Rovina Elliot, Mona Rodgers, Loraine Richards, Carl Phipps, Gordon Thomas, Louren Phipps, Dawn Rodgers, Cheryl Soto, Lloyd Thomas and Delroy Thomas.
She is also survived by special niece: Natasha Jeffers; special friends: Ragland Hill, Dorothy Lake, Shackey Heath and family, Lorna Tobine, Lucia Warner, Pastor John Freeman and family, Vivian "Lil Girl" Berkeley and family, and members of The Power of the Word Ministries; and friends and other acquaintances: Elaine Gomez and family, Oakland Benta Sr. and family, Huminta Florent and family, Cynthia and Patterson Thomas family, Emilie Almestica and family, Patricia Felix and family, Eleanor Macedon and family, Dawn Bruce and family, Francis Vanterpool and family, Sherimah Stevens and family, Pamela West and family, the Morris family, Sharon Brown and family, Judy Rodriguez and family, Sheila Gore and family, Dennis and Judy Young and family, Angela Burt and family, Elizabeth Athill and family, Albertina Edwards and family, Asta and Astria Christian and family, Anette Parker and family, Dahlia Chumney and family, the Applewhite family, and Lauren Gilchrist and family.
Other survivors include friends of Commercial Security Company-STX: Lucia Frederick, Ilma Elcock, Delores Joseph, Cyril Williams, Ethleen Edwards, Almira McIntosh, Alphonso "Bobby" Stevens, Edmond and Angelina Penn, Henry and Eva Stevens, Janine and Josephine Hector, Hilarie Jones, Sharon Payne, Rita Daniel, Gladys Bradshaw, Olive Tonge, Diana, Krause, Sharon George, Irma Williams, Beverly and Sharon Stevens and family, and the Mardenborough family; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The family requests that all in attendance wear festive colors.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 12, at Faith of Christ Ministry Church, Estate Upper Love. Interment will follow at Frederiksted Cemetery.
