Alma Rosemary Gumbs Hector Dies at 57

Alma Rosemary Gumbs Hector
Alma Rosemary Gumbs Hector, also known as "Elma," of Strawberry Hill died on Wednesday, May 2, at Governor Juan F. Luis Hospital. She was 57 years old.
She is survived by her daughters: Roselyn Rawlins and Renelle Hector; sons: Anthony and Marlon Hector; adopted son, Charles "Papy" Rawlins; grandchildren: Reniece and Rondre Sheriff, and Inari Wikkinson (adopted); son-in-law, Darwin Christian Jr.; sisters: Sheila Gumbs and Sandra Baptiste; brother: John Clark and St. Clair Gumbs; nieces: Sherry Ann Iniss, Nicole Clarke, Tamalia John Baptiste and Carmen John Baptiste; nephews: Patrick Iniss, Akeem Knight and Nigel Clarke; great niece, Natalia Roumo; aunts: Adelaide Bachelor, Kathleen Isaac and Catherine Martin; uncle, Lauchland Tonge; special friend, Josephine Wiltshire; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing at 10 a.m. will be followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 16, at the Refuge Tabernacle Church. Interment will be at Frederiksted Cemetery.
The family requests that all in attendance wear festive colors.
