Special Education Hosts Parent Educational Summit

The Virgin Islands Department of Education’s State Office of Special Education will host aParent Educational Summit on April 7 on St. Croix and April 8 on St. Thomas,according to a press release fromState Director Carrie S. Johns. The summit will take place at the respective districts’ curriculum centers from 8:30 a.m. to 12 noon. Topics of discussion will be:Procedural Safeguards, Consent for Services, Manifestation Determination and Pro-Social Skills.
Parents are asked to call 718-7682 to RSVP, as space is limited.
