Although many attendees were present Wednesday at the V.I. Port Authority headquarters in Lindbergh Bay, VIPA’s January board meeting was cancelled due to the lack of a quorum (i.e., not enough of the board members were in attendance to allow the group to conduct the meeting).
Acting chairperson Beverly Nicholson-Doty, the Commissioner of Tourism, sent the attendees away shortly after 11 a.m. when it became clear that at least one of the expected board members would not be able to make it, due to a last-minute conflict of a reportedly urgent nature.
Discussion of all agenda items was tabled until the next meeting, which is scheduled for Feb 16.
