Beryl Inez Wilbekin of Sion Farm died on Feb. 4. She was 88 years old.
She is survived by her adopted son, Samuel Jacobs; nieces; Pauline and Florette Begraff, Melba Charles, Juliet McFarlane, Bernice Richards, Shirlene Simon-Harvey, Eleminda Wilbekin, Judy Wilson, Ina Wilbekin and Azalia Krigger-Thomas; nephews: Alvin Jackson, Raymond Bobby James, Elroy and Theodore McFaelane, Claude Morrehead, Bennett Simon, Eric and Emile Wilbekin, Eric Jon, Victor and Jeremiah Wilbekin, and Harry Ruebel; sisters-in-law: Rosebud Ruebel, Naomi Wilbekin, Addie Wilbekin and Dr. Cheota P. Wilbekin; and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
It was the deceased wish that everyone should wear festive colors to celebrate her life.
A viewing will take place at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 12, at the First Assembly Church. Interment will follow at the Christiansted Cemetery.
