Julia Bonnano Pagan DeJesus Brodhurst Dead at 80

Julia Bonnano Pagan DeJesus BrodhurstJulia Bonnano Pagan DeJesus Brodhurst, better known as “Julie,” of Strand Street died on Dec. 20. She was 80 years old.

She is survived by her daughters: Sandra E. Fields, Cheri Ann Brodhurst, Denesia J. Fabio and Rose Ann Mason; son, Canute A. Brodhurst III; grandchildren: Michele Fields, Tara Guard, Jon Erik Brodhurst, Crystal Murrell, Tarik Fabio, Daniel, Sharon, Dillion and Tamara Simmiolkjier, and Constance Brodhurst; great-grandchildren: Sierra, Ava Guard, Amena, Haileeyesus Murrell Jr., Ayden Lee Brownell, Isabel, Shairlee Fabio, Shanice, Shane, Sierra, Suzanne, Jasmin, Marcus, Malakai, Mya, Julia Simmiolkjier, Carol, Diavion and Alexandra Nathan-Marsh. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Francis Brodhurst; sons-in-law: Michael Fields and Dale Mason; sisters: Juanita Aponte, Victoria Anderson, Catalina Henriquez, Isidra Colon, Carmen Ledesma and Evarista Encarnacion; brothers: Carmelo and Manuel DeJesus; sisters-in-law: Alicia Roman DeJesus, Carmen lopez DeJesus and Rena Brodhurst; brothers-in-law: Anibal Colon, Julio Encarnacion and Wiston Brodhurst. Other survivors include nieces, great nieces, nephews and great nephews too numerous to mention; aunts: Esther Zielinski and Tonia Gibbons; uncle, Otilio Concepcion; special friends: Eva Forbes, Lowell Schuster, Kathleen Knight, David Canegata Motta and Gloria Canegata; cousins and other relatives: Maria Schjang, Steadman Cornelius and Robyn Burke; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 28, at the Lord God of Sabaoth Lutheran Church.
