SBDC Offers Two Seminars on Preparing Business Plans

The Virgin Island Small Business Development Center (VI SBDC) presents the seminars: “Show Me theMoney! The Narrative for Preparing a Success Plan for Your Business” and “Show Me the Money! The Financials for Preparing a Success Plan for Your Business.” They are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 10, and Wednesday, Dec. 16, respectively, at the VI SBDC Training Facility at Nisky Center on St. Thomas. The presenter will be Daryl Edwards, business counselor II at the VI SBDC. Admission is $25 for each seminar. If participants pre-register and attend both seminars, the cost is only $35. Pre-register and attend only one seminar for $20. UVI students, staff, faculty and veterans of the U.S. military with proper ID will be admitted for free; however, pre-registration is required.

It is recommended that business owners or potential business owners have a success plan. Come and learn the basics of how to put together your success plan. It is not rocket science. A success plan is a great guide for the day-to-day operations of your business; however, it is mandatory that you have one if you want to borrow money from a bank. Be proactive instead of reactive.
These seminars will also allow you to refresh yourself and do some networking if you already have the basics for writing a success plan for your business.
To pre-register or for more information on these seminars and/or other SBDC services, contact VI SBDC, 8000 Nisky Center, Suite 720, St. Thomas, V.I. 00802. Phone: 776-3206; fax: 775-3756 on Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is partially funded by the U.S. Small Business Administration. Such funding does not constitute an expressed or implied endorsement of any of the co-sponsors or participants’ opinions, products or services. VI SBDC is committed to the policy of providing equal opportunity for all persons and does not discriminate in employment, admissions, programs or any other educational function and service on the basis of sex, age, handicap, national origin, color or religion.
