The Family Connection, a program of the Community Foundation of the Virgin Islands, has announced its plans to make “Take a Flower to Childcare Day” an annual celebration. It will celebrate childcare providers and will take place on Tuesday, Oct. 20. The goal is to raise awareness about the important role good childcare plays in the healthy development of young children and the future of the Virgin Islands.
To participate, parents, young children and community leaders are asked to simply present childcare providers with flowers of their choice on that day. Anyone interested in helping The Family Connection to distribute fliers or organize local parents and community leaders to participate in the celebration should contact Donnalie Edwards-Cabey at 777-0990 or decabey@cfvi.net.
