Augusta Alcindor, also known as “Merline,” of Williams Delight died on Aug. 15. She was 53 years old.
She is survived by her son: Pius Nigel Alcindor; sisters: Beryl and Mary Joseph, Rufina George, Josephine Maximin, Ramona Calixte, Cynthia Joseph, Pamela Robinson and Jessica Philip; and brother, Rennick Gilbert. She is also survived by nieces: Pauline and Leah Joseph, Maria, Afia and Lean Calixte; nephews: Simon, Andrew and Wayne Joseph, Kieran Marius, Jachim and Joel Maximin, and Jason Calixte; aunts: Sandrine Jules and Hetty Bernard; special friends: Jone, Derick, Veronica, Marcella Clovis, Auguslima, Orie Small, Agnes Charles, Ambrose Monlouis, Jones, Dunstan, Corinthia, Charles, Beverlyn Alfred, Ignatius Joseph, Mrs. Rilda Veronica and Mrs. St. Brice; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing at 10 a.m. and a funeral service at 11 a.m., on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
