Emerson Roosevelt Thompson Dies at 59

Emerson Roosevelt ThompsonEmerson Roosevelt Thompson, also known as “Tamo” or “E.T.,” of Hannah’s Rest, Frederiksted, died on Monday, Aug. 10. He was 59 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Thompson; mother, Euristein A. Thompson; son, Emerson W. Thompson; daughter, Malika Thompson; stepsons: Curtis and Tyrone Taylor; granddaughter, Shyanna Paul; sisters: Jacquelyn Arthur, Veronica Maynard, Angela Edghill, Jennifer Boyce; and brothers: Leo Thompson, Tony and Andrew Brewster. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Malvina Pemberton; cousins: Gloria, Audley and Angela; best friend, Terrance Harris; special friends: Conroy Samuel Sr., Conroy Samuel Jr., Harvel Samuel, Police Chief Oakland Benta, Jannaqui Joseph, Corinne Messer, Glendalyn Josiah, Richard Branch, Randal Joshua, Maude Hazel, Meryl Maynard, Debbie Maynard, Theophilus Christopher, Mrs. Parris, Karen Encarnacion, Margaret Southwell, Mr. Rice, Desmond, Elcott, Ruby, Janice, Katherine, Norma, Lydia, Deseree Wynter, Noel Coates, Eustace Roach, Mrs. Sandra Glasgow; as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. and a funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 20 (his 60th birthday), at Saint Peter’s Episcopal Church, Estate Castle Coakley. Interment to follow at Kingshill Cemetery.
