June 11, 2009 – In a statement issued today, Senator Nellie Rivera-O’Reilly announced the implementation of “Senator on Wheels,” an outreach program designed to set up an “Open House” concept in various communities.
“The first phase of our ‘Open House’ concept was established in February and allowed constituents to visit our legislative office in Frederiksted on the third Saturday of every month to meet my staff and me, and to discuss concerns, issues and ideas,” stated Senator O’Reilly. “In an effort to expand our reach and accessibility, we are taking our ‘Open House’ outdoors.”
