The Senate Isn't Working Either

Dear Source:
Any level-headed person would agree with Steve Nisky's letter to you. I'd like to add, in any large organization, change happens very slow, real slow.
Also, a major change should happen within the legislature. We don't need 15 Senators working part-time, we could do the same with five. Two from St. Croix, Two From St. Thomas and one from St. John. We would save a lot of money and this would be a full time position. It's something that should have been handled a long time ago. I'm not going to get into, at this time, the SUV's, 6905, waste, etc.
If the Senators cared anything about these islands they would institute these changes immediately. They inherently know, they are not needed and they know five is enough. This is 2009 and we cannot afford to waste money anymore, those days are over (we could never offord it).
George Hollander
St. John
