Crimes of the Week: Crime Stoppers Needs the Community's Help

Crime Stoppers is asking the community to help the VIPD solve the following crimes.
St. Croix: Police are asking the public for information regarding a first degree robbery that occurred at about 3:22 p.m. March 2 in the area of Estate Hannah’s Rest. Two masked armed males robbed a 42-year-old man and fled the area.
St. John: Police are seeking additional information on the murder of Juan Ayala. Mr. Ayala was found dead from multiple gunshots on Monday, Jan. 5, outside his home in Estate Pastory. Police say there may have been two suspects. One suspect is described as a black male with braided hair.
St. Thomas: Police are seeking information on the homicide of Larry Thomas, also known as “Kenny”, who was fatally shot sometime after midnight on March 3 in the area of Building 10 in the Tutu High Rise Apartments. Larry Thomas was a homeless man with mental problems.
Crime Stoppers is pleased to report we received two new tips, which brings our total tips received to 48, Law Enforcement Coordinator, Lt. Thomas Hannah said. “To all residents, you have helped the police department and law enforcement with your tips and your confidence. Please keep up the good work. Now, we need your help in finding the individuals who were involved in the crimes highlighted this week, in particular the death of Mr. Larry Thomas. If anyone has information related to Mr. Thomas's death, don't hesitate to call Crime Stoppers. As you have before, make the call. You may bring justice to the family and friends of Larry Thomas”.
Anyone with information on these or any other crimes can immediately call Crime Stoppers USVI at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). The group's operators are bilingual. You can also submit a tip online at www.crimestoppersusvi.org, or by texting “USVI” plus your message to CRIMES (274637). You will remain anonymous and you do not have to testify in court. If the information you provide leads to an arrest, or the recovery of stolen property, you will earn a cash reward of as much as $2,500. Only anonymous callers to Crime Stoppers are eligible for these cash rewards.
