American Legion National Commander to Visit Virgin Islands

Jan. 10, 2009 – American Legion National Commander Dave Rehbein and his wife Ann will visit with Virgin Islands legionnaires on Monday, Jan. 12. They will arrive on St. Croix on Sunday afternoon, Jan. 11, at the Henry Rohlsen Airport. This will be the commander's first visit to the V.I. as part of his tour of American Legion Posts throughout the United States. Nat. Cmdr. Rehbein of Iowa is a member of Ames Post No. 37.
Members of all American Legion Posts within the V.I. will meet with him at the Myron G. Danielson American Legion Post No. 85 Hall at No. 2 Hospital Grounds to discuss issues affecting legionnaires within the territory.
District No. 10 Commander Melbourne Clarke urges all legionnaires to attend this very important meeting and to meet with the national commander. The general public is invited to join the legionnaires as they welcome the national commander, Clarke said.
