Energy Gurus and Solutions

Dear Source:
Senator Hill and Mr. Hodge, I applaud your realization that alternative forms of energy are long over-due and the best way out of the energy costs we are bearing. It shouldn't take long to study ways to cut government use of energy. Mr. Stropole in "Responsible Conservation" in Open Forum has some excellent ideas. Two of them which could be implemented immediately are turning the thermostat in all government buildings to 78 degrees, and getting the police to slow down: I doubt most of the police need to get anywhere as fast as they normally travel. That only three people are on the net metering system should tell us that tax credits aren't great enough to help even those of us who are not in the 34% of the "poor." While the legislature is busy getting legislation in place, the government should pay it's WAPA bills, and all of us continue to cut back on energy use wherever we can.
