Dear Source:
I recently had surgery at our local St. Thomas hospital. The nurses, preadmissions, pre op and surgical teams were top notch. I was so well cared for I was sorry to say goodbye. I never had to wait for pain meds, a glass of water, help getting in and out of bed or help with any request I made. Everyone was gentle, compassionate, patient and incredibly attentive. I felt so safe and knew I was in the right place.
I think it is important for the residents of this island to know if they are unfortunate enough to have to go under the knife, they couldn't be more fortunate to do it and wake up from it in our local hospital.
Straight from the heart.
