CCT Presents 'The Odd Couple' Starting May 11

May 10, 2007 – Caribbean Community Theater presents "The Odd Couple" by Neil Simon for seven performances. They will be held at 8 p.m., on Friday and Saturday evenings, May 11-12, May 18-19 and June 1-2, with a Sunday matinee at 4 p.m., on June 3. All shows are at the CCT, No. 18 Estate Orange Grove, in Christiansted. Tickets are $15 for adults and $8 for students.
The comedy takes place in the apartment of recently divorced sports writer Oscar Madison, and if the mess is any indication, it's no wonder his wife left him. As Oscar's friends assemble to play cards, their pal, Felix Ungar, arrives with the news that his wife has left him as well. Felix, unlike Oscar, enjoys cooking and cleaning, so Oscar invites Felix to share his apartment, with uproarious results.
The play is directed by Debby Babb and features Michael Armendariz and Lionel Downer as Felix and Oscar along with Micah Maples, Derek Martin and Kasey Willard as the poker-playing buddies, and Tish Mercier and newcomer Juanita Feldhamer playing the Pigeon sisters.
