What's Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

April 24, 2007 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM from 1 to 3 p.m., Sunday, April 29. This Sunday we will feature music by Rod Piazza, Rachel Harrington, J.J. Grey and Mofro, Rosie Ledet, Duke Ellington and more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "The Best of Rod Piazza 1968-2003" by Rod Piazza. This is a great two-CD set of modern blues featuring the earlier works of Rod Piazza and the Mighty Flyers. This compilation includes some previously unreleased tracks. Rod's wife, Honey Piazza, contributes some great keyboard work as well.
The Indie Spotlight CD is "The Bootlegger's Daughter" by talented young folk singer Rachel Harrington.
We play new music from Elana James, Kurt Elling, J.J. Grey and Mofro, the Circuit Riders and more.
We include music from Clarence Gatemouth Brown, C.J. Chenier, zydeco sweetheart Rosie Ledet, Percy Sledge, Doc Watson and more.
We celebrate the birthdays of jazz great Duke Ellington, blues man Otis Rush, and blues artist Sue Foley, and we remember folk great Cisco Houston on the anniversary of his death.
We also feature music from Anna Cheek, who is currently touring through the Virgin Islands.

We give away a CD single from Alison Krauss and John Waite and pair that giveaway with a copy of the new CD from Alison's brother, Viktor Krauss. We also give you a chance to win the new release from Loreena McKennit and a fine instrumental CD from Bruce Molsky.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker; Molly Molones; and St. Thomas Radiology Associates.
