Black Love Will Be an Evening of Poetry at the Blue Moon

Feb. 14, 2007 – St. Croix's newest poets' group, Vibes Poetic, and St. Thomas' Rock Lounge Collective will celebrate Black History Month invite the public to an evening of "conscious entertainment." It will be held at 8:30 p.m., on Saturday, Feb. 17, at the Blue Moon Restaurant. Black Love will present spoken-word artists, poets and chanters who 'drop it real' to lift you up and out of your seats. Admission is free.
Vibes Poetic, is a new poetry collective made up of a group of dynamic, young people on the island who want to make a difference in the community through the arts. The Black Love poetry session is the first meeting at their new home, the Blue Moon. The event is the genesis of future monthly gatherings of the group.
