Pistarckle Theater Presents South African Play

Jan. 29, 2007 – Pistarckle Theatre presents "The Island" by South African playwright Athol Fugard. Felix Fleming directs this production of a play that changed history and drew attention to the suffering of South Africa’s political prisoners. Fleming and co-actor George Silcott create a metaphor for Apartheid through the story of two inmates incarcerated in South Africa’s infamous Robben Island prison.
Performances will be held at 8 p.m., on Feb. 2, 3, 9, and 10. There will be a performance at 2 p.m., on Feb. 3.
