Dear Source:
I am responding to Dena Langdon's assessment that our Motor Vehicle Inspection lanes are a joke. Overall-I have to agree. It is certainly the first government "service" that needs training in what service is. I often wish cameras were put in to record the kind of rude and disrespectful interactions initiated by some of these government workers to people trying to get their vehicles registered. What I believe has happened is that too many long-time government employees have done things their way for too long. This is not easy to undo. I hope that Dena has gone to the website to officially voice this concern/complaint. I am surprised that in talking to people, few still do not know that this new Administration is ASKING people for feedback and comments on policy changes and what John and Greg should know about the current government that needs to be looked at.
So many of us have "bottomed out" and even given-up on trying to change the way that our past VI government has does the business of the people. Let's not give up when we finally have someone in a position to really change things! I urge everyone to go to this website and express yourself about any/all concerns that no one has listened to before. You will feel better and you will be doing your civic duty in identifying areas that are in desperate need of repair.
