Brief: Governor Nominates Attorney D'Eramo for Superior Court Judgeship

July 5, 2006 — Gov. Charles W. Turnbull has nominated attorney Francis J. D'Eramo for Judge of the V.I. Superior Court. If approved by the Legislature, D'Eramo would fill the vacancy left in the St. Croix district by Judge Maria M. Cabret, who is retiring.
D'Eramo, who began his legal career in the Virgin Islands as an attorney with Isherwood Hunter & Colianni, practices in the areas of employment law, banking, commercial and employment litigation, and general commercial advice.
"Attorney D'Eramo has demonstrated his commitment and dedication to the community and his support of projects to aid the less fortunate. These are important qualifications when seeking judicial appointees," Turnbull said.
