Scholarship Pageant To be Held at Reichhold Center

June 5, 2006 – The Miss Virgin Islands Scholarship Organization Inc. announced its Third Annual Scholarship Pageant to find 2006 Miss Virgin Islands. The pageant, an official state pageant of the Miss America Organization, will take place at 7:30 p.m., on Saturday, June 10, at the Reichhold Center for the Arts.
There are six young ladies who will be vying for the title: La'Starr Watley, Chanina Ruan, Stacy Smith, Sereana Henderson, Chanae Hodge and Andrea Burgess. They will participate in an interview competition on Friday, June 9. At the pageant, they will compete in eveningwear, swimwear and talent, according to the press release from the Miss V.I. Scholarship Organization.
The winner will receive over $10,000 in scholarship funds to attend the college or university of her choice. The 1st Runner Up will receive at least $5,000 in scholarship funds, and the 2nd Runner Up will receive a minimum of $2,500 in scholarship funds.
