What' Up Next on the Doug Lewis Show

May 23, 2006 – Tune into the Doug Lewis Show on WVGN 107.3 FM, Sunday, May 28, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. This Sunday we feature Paul Simon, the 145th Street Deluxe Blues Band, T Bone Walker, Chely Wright and much more.
The Modern Music Feature CD is "Surprise," the latest release from Paul Simon. Simon is one artist who is always willing to experiment with new sounds and styles. This the time he has teamed up with Brian Eno, and the CD includes some elements of electronica to give the music a slightly different flavor.
The Indie Spotlight CD is the self-titled release from the 145th Street Deluxe Blues Band, a group based out of San Diego, California, who has a rock solid electric blues sound.
We celebrate the birthdays of the legendary blues' man T Bone Walker, CCR frontman and now solo artist John Fogerty, dobro great Jerry Douglas, and r & b diva Gladys Knight.
We play new music from Texas songwriter Eric Taylor, Bruce Springsteen, David Mead, Dave Alvin and more.
We also include music from Otis Rush, Steve Forbert, Coco Montoya, Chely Wright and others.
Tune in for a chance to win the latest release from singer-songwriter Mare Wakefield (who celebrated her honeymoon on St. Croix) and the new release from exciting young bluegrass artist April Verch, who has released a new CD produced by Dirk Powell of Balfa Toujours.
Doug Lewis Show is underwritten by Hook, Line and Sinker and Molly Molones.
