Governor Makes Board of Social Work Nominations

Feb. 7, 2006 – Gov. Charles Turnbull recently named five people to the Board of Social Work Licensure.
He named St. Croix resident Carol L. Battuello to replace Jane Christiansen. Battuello previously served as acting superintendent and district manager at the Department of Human Resources' Youth Rehabilitation Center.
Additionally, the governor named St. Croix resident Marangeli Cruz Hendricks, a social worker at the Veterans Affairs Department, to replace Iris Bermudez.
The terms of both Christiansen and Bermudez had expired.
Winifred Anthony-Todman and Dilsa Rohan Capdeville were both nominated as St. Thomas representatives.
While Capdeville was renominated to another term, Anthony-Todman was nominated to replace Dale L. Carty, whose term expired.
Anthony-Todman is a program counselor and coordinator at the University of the Virgin Islands' Upward Bound program. Capdeville is the program director and therapist at KIDSCOPE Inc., a center for abused, neglected and sexually molested children.
Delores A. Powell was nominated to serve from St. John. She is the acting district manager for the Human Services Department's juvenile unit on St. John.
