Nov. 25, 2005 – In a press release today to the residents of the Virgin Islands, Senator Roosevelt David sent Thanksgiving greetings to one and all. "As we celebrate the Holiday with family and friends, let us thank God for his infinite blessings and abundance that he has bestowed upon us".
David went on to say that we should keep in our prayers those who are less fortunate, the sick and shut-in, and the destitute. "Let us pray for our brothers and sisters that are serving in the Middle East and those who are adversely affected, and let us share our blessings with one another. We must be grateful for all the good things in our everyday life" David commented.
In reflecting, Senator David said, I wish to take this opportunity to, once again, publicly thank the people of the Virgin Islands for allowing me to serve you. I consider my position as Senator to be an honor and privilege".
"This Thanksgiving, my family, staff and People for Progress join me in wishing the residents of the Virgin Islands a blessed and happy Thanksgiving", David concluded.
