Traffic Alert: Veterans Day Parade set in Frederiksted

Nov. 10, 2005 — Veterans' organizations of St. Croix, under the American Legion, will be hosting the Veterans' Day Parade and ceremonies in Frederiksted Friday.
Parade participants will assemble at the Claude O. Markoe School at 9:30 a.m. The parade will begin at 10:15 a.m and go on Queen Mary Highway to Fisher Street, continue on King Street and onto the Buddhoe Park bandstand where the official commemoration program will begin at 11 a.m.
Besides the parade route, the following parking and traffic restrictions are set, according to Herminio Velazquez, deputy chief of police, district of St. Croix. From 8 a.m. until the parade march is completed, no parking will be allowed on Fisher Street, King Street and area between Custom House and the UCA building.
