Maxciel Hodge Dies at Age 66

Aug. 12, 2005 – Maxciel Hodge, known as "Hodge," died at Roy Lester Schneider Hospital on Aug. 9. He was 66 years old and lived at Estate Frydendahl. He worked at R.L. Schneider Hospital for many years and will be remembered for his love of fishing and how he often helped others in building their homes.
Survivors include his son, Shawn Hodge; and his daughters, Priscilla and Gwennette Hodge. He is also survived by brothers: Franklin, Connel and Isadore Richardson; and sisters: Lorris Richardson, Doldeana Brooks, Doreth Gumbs, and Anastasia Pogson. Other survivors are his brothers-in-law: Ashley Brooks, Oliver Gumbs and Theothilus Pogson, and a sister-in-law, Millicent Richardson, as well as many other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
There will be a viewing on Friday, Aug. 19, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. at the Zion Assembly followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m. Interment is at Western Cemetery No. 3.
