We Shouldn't be Surprised by Inefficiency

It all seems like a cruel, inexcusable and preventable bad joke.
It's another shining example of the government assigning
persons to head up and responsibly oversee important departments. Such persons are usually not the best candidates for the position. Only because they are Virgin Islanders and usually not among the best qualified students or proven capabilities, do they get the top jobs. It should not, therefore, surprise us of the unbelievable inefficient and its' resulting outrage that we hear and read about in all areas of government. If search committees would respect the fact that candidates should not receive a position simply because they are Virgin Islanders, and search out all candidates of all races and color and experience, I believe the islands would be better served.
