St. Croix Federation of Teachers Announces Scholarship Awards

June 9, 2005 – The St. Croix Federation of Teachers is proud to announce the winners of the 2005 Scholarship Awards. Five students have been awarded one-time scholarships of $1,000. Those winners had to submit a transcript for the preceding seven semesters; a letter of recommendation; a letter from the applicant giving biographical data and present educational goals; a letter of acceptance to a post-secondary school; a minimum 3.0 overall GPA; a questionnaire; and evidence of at least 50 hours of community service. All students must be dependents of a member of the American Federation of Teachers.
The awardees are Deanna Miller, Rehema Payne and Kenneth Selkridge Jr. of the St. Croix Educational Complex; Trinity Granger of the St. Croix Country Day School; and Cherrelle Herbert of the Good Hope School.
