Sept. 29, 2004 – Coral Bay's Syzygy Gallery will toast with champagne the arrival of its newest member artist, Cheryl Geller, at a reception from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. on Suday, Oct. 3.
Geller is a jewelry maker whose wire and bead creations evoke the whimsical and elegantly swirling creations of the Victorian era. Her work, incorporating vintage and hand-made beads from around the world, forms intricate layers of color and texture that provide a nice complement to the more organic hand-strung creations of the gallery's artist/owner, Lisa Crumrine
Syzygy, now in its eighth year, showcases a lush variety of work ranging from the abstractions of Moe Kunsch and landscapes and still life's by Andrea Leland, to the stained-glass mosaics and photographs of Crumrine.
There will be live music, games and activities for the little ones, and the highly rated St. John eatery, Tage, will supply the event's appetizers. Syzygy is located in Coral Bay behind Skinny Legs bar and restaurant
