July 19, 2004 – The Friends of Denmark invites residents to an old-time soup sale on Saturday, July 24, from 10 a.m. until the soup is gone at the cafeteria of Christchurch Methodist on Market Square.
There will be vegetarian and meat soups available including bullfoot, old-fashioned beef, kallaloo, red-bean, pumpkin, goat water, and chicken – more than a dozen traditional varieties. Portions are $7 and $10 and come in freezable containers.
