May 24, 2004 – Because of retaining wall construction work in progress, Crown Mountain Road will be closed on Tuesday between the Scott Free intersection and the Estate Pearl/West End Road intersection, according to a Government House Release issued on Monday afternoon.
The stretch of road will be closed to through traffic between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
According to the release, motorists heading to the North Side should use Solberg Road or Mafolie Road. "There will be flaggers and detour signs to help with traffic control," it said.
"Access will be allowed to property owners and emergency vehicles," Public Works Commissioner Wayne Callwood was quoted as saying.
