WATER AND POWER EMERGENCIES BEING ADDRESSED

March 14, 2004 – The V.I. Water and Power Authority reported Sunday afternoon it was repairing a broken water line in the Estate Peter's Rest area.
"A leak was discovered in the vicinity of the St. Croix Majorettes' headquarters at approximately 1 a.m. on Sunday," the WAPA release said. "Potable water customers from Estate Contentment to Estate Sion Farm will remain without water service until late this evening while WAPA personnel repair the broken line."
"WAPA's line department is also working to restore electrical service to Estate La Vallee residents following utility-pole fires that were reported earlier today in that area," the release stated.
