UVI Alum Featured on Reality TV Program Scheduled Saturday
UVI alumna Jacqueline Chapel-Hardy recently participated in a Discovery Health Channel reality TV program that will be broadcast locally on Saturday. The program challenged five people living in Miami to turn back the biological clock, utilizing help from scientists and health care experts. Chapel-Hardy embarked on rigorous workouts, a diet excluding her favorite thing (candy), and consultations with a dermatologist and a psychiatrist. The aim was to look and feel 10 years younger in 10 weeks.
"Ten Years Younger" will air at 11 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Feb. 28 on Discovery Health, Channel 41, on St. Thomas, and on Channel 49, on St. Croix. The show will replay at the same time and on the same channels on March 28.
The 51-year-old Chapel-Hardy now says she actually feels 20 years younger. "Now I feel like I'm in my 30s. I feel like a young girl." Chapel-Hardy was to be a guest on Radio One's Afternoon Mix with host Raul Carillo at 3:30 p.m. Feb. 26. Chapel-Hardy, who also worked as a UVI instructor, is currently a computer security officer and systems administrator at Cunard Line Ltd. in Miami.
