FUNERAL IS FEB. 4 FOR JOHN A. VAN PUTTEN, 70

Jan. 31, 2004 – John Alexander Van Putten, better known as "Sonny," "Trini" or "Stackie," of St. Thomas, died Jan. 25 at the age of 70 at the Roy L. Schneider Hospital.
Viewing and funeral will be Feb. 4 at Wesleyan Holiness Church. The viewing is from 8:30 a.m. until the funeral at 10 a.m., with burial in Western Cemetery No. 3.
He is survived by his wife, Mayretta Van Putten; son, Uriel Van Putten; brother, Stanley Van Putten; sister, Ilma Van Putten; special friends, Howard Jackson, Judith Warner, Akil, Araher and Calvin Benjamin; and many other relatives and friends.
His father, Thomas Pennyfeather, and mother, Rebecca Van Putten, both predeceased him, as did a sister, Marvis Van Putten.
Arrangements are by the Davis Funeral home.
