May 27, 2003 – If the owners of the commercial trailers parked on government land in Estate Nazareth don't remove them by "the close of business" on Friday, they will be confiscated and may be disposed of, according to a Government House release issued on Tuesday.
James O'Bryan Jr., St. Thomas/Water Island administrator, and Ira Hobson, Housing Parks and Recreation commissioner, said in the release that failure to remove the trailers "or any other unauthorized items" at the Nazareth site by the deadline given would "result in the determination that the items are deemed to have been abandoned on the government's property."
Under the territory's abandoned vehicle laws, they said, that determination gives the government the right to confiscate and possibly dispose of the items.
