Today is the last day to return applications for the V.I. National Park Youth Conservation Corp summer program.
Young men and women between the ages of 15 through 18 who are permanent residents of the United States are eligible. Eleven young people will be chosen, utilizing a lottery system.
The work-learn-earn program runs from June 17 through Aug. 10. Enrollees will be required to work 40 hours per week at an hourly rate of $5.15.
Applications may be picked up at the National Park Service Visitor Center and Maintenance Office in Cruz Bay, St. John. Ina Duncan at 693-8989 extension 21 has more information.
