Vivian Hester Bennerson, mother of former Senator Gregory A. Bennerson, died May 6. She is survived by her mother Ethel W. Hester; sons Gregory A. Bennerson and James Bennerson Jr. and eleven grandchildren.
Known at "Mother B", she was an artist, a Poet Laureate and a member of the National Poet Society. In 1967 she received a letter from President Johnson, commending her on her fine and inspired writings. She was active in the Boy Scouts, the Cosmopolitan Stars Steel Band, Police Pre-cadets and Law Enforcement Explorers.
