ROTARY CLUBS SPECIAL SPEAKER ON LAW DAY

To coincide with Law Fay, Attorney Karen Hastie Williams will address all four St. Thomas Rotary Clubs at the Mahogany Run Clubhouse. The presentation is free and open to the public; an optional luncheon is $18.
Karen Hastie Williams is the daughter of William H. Hastie Jr., the first African-American governor of the U.S. Virgin Islands, and Beryl Lockhart Hastie.
In honor of Law Day, the V. I. Bar Association will present the first Virgin Islands Liberty Bell Award. The award, which was established nationally over 30 years ago, is presented to a layperson or community organization that has promoted better understanding or encouraged greater respect for the law, stimulated a sense of civic responsibility, or contributed to good government in the community.
