'RUINS RAMBLE' TO EXPLORE ESTATE LOWRY HILL

April 17, 2002 – The latest in the series of St. Croix Landmarks Society's "Ruins Ramble" will take hikers exploring the ruins at Estate Lowry Hill at 3:30 p.m. Sunday.
Hikers will hear historical interpretation by local historian George Tyson and property owner Robert White.
Hikers will be allowed to enter the Danish cemetery on the site.
The meeting place is on Route 62, also known as the "Lowry Hill Road." To get there, proceed east through Christiansted town on Route 82, turn right onto Route 62 at Tide Village, and watch for signs.
If you've seen the posters around town, it is a right turn.
The organization classifies the hike as "moderate." But the local fruit drinks and wine and cheese served after the walk should revive hikers.
Cost is $12 per person, $8 for society members, $6 for students.
This hike is part of the society's Education Outreach program. Call 772-0598 for more information.
