APPLEQUIST OILS TO BE FEATURED AT ALEXANDER'S

Feb. 6, 2002 – February's featured artist at Alexander's Cafe in Frenchtown is Water Island resident Dale H. Applequist. He'll be on hand to discuss his work at the champagne reception opening the exhibition on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Applequist, who took up residence on St. Thomas 14 years ago, is a non-traditional artist who rarely exhibits his paintings and drawings. He works mainly in oil on linen, but his productivity in pastel and acrylic has been increasing.
The exhibition at Alexander's, which will hang through March 7, will feature the artist's work in oil with emphasis on color range and visual textures.
Within his creative output, Applequist has produced a pen and ink "idea" library. He counts Caribbean colors and shapes among his inspirations.
For dinner at Alexander's following the reception, call 774-4349 for reservations.
