GUEST ORGANIST TO PRESENT MINI-RECITAL

July 20, 2001 – A mini-recital of special organ music will follow the morning worship service Sunday at the St. Thomas Reformed Church in downtown Charlotte Amalie.
Adam Koch, the organist at Moravian College in Bethlehem, Pa., and also minister of music at the 1,200-member Christ Church – UCC in Bethlehem, will present the mini-recital at the conclusion of the regular 9 a.m. service in the historic church, located at the corner of Nye Gade and Crystal Gade. The public is invited to attend.
At Moravian College, Koch serves as accompanist/organist for the acclaimed Christmas Vespers held annually at Bethlehem's Central Moravian Church. He has appeared in recitals througout the United States and Europe, including at St. John the Divine and St. Patrick's churches in New York City, and St. Paul's in London. He also has performed at the Laurel Festival of the Arts and the Music from St. Mark's series, both in Jim Thorpe, Pa., and at American Guild of Organists events.
Koch began his formal training in music at Susquehanna University then transferred to Moravian College to pursue a bachelor's degree in music performance.
