NPS to Host Festival

Due to the hurricanes, the annual folklife festival has been canceled, but Virgin Islands National Park will host a smaller cultural celebration commemorating V.I. history and culture. National Park is inviting the public and local schools to this event. This year’s theme, “Some ah Dis, Some ah Dah,” commemorates the culture from yesteryear brought forward today.  Activities include cultural dancing demonstrations by Bambola Dance group, drumming by Eddie Bruce, African drummer, and music by Tropical Sounds, just to name a few. There will also be various stations demonstrating cultural arts and crafts, and foods.
